| Updated Road Closure Dates for Avenue J Interchange Improvements Project |
Lancaster, CA - The City of Lancaster, in coordination with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), is sharing an extension of select ramp closures as part of the ongoing Avenue J Interchange Improvements project. Due to delays in material delivery and the impact of cold weather and rain events, Caltrans has approved extended closure dates for the following ramps:
Southbound Avenue J Off-Ramp Closure: Extended from January 31 to February 21, 2025
Northbound 20th Street West Off-Ramp Closure: Extended from January 24 to February 11, 2025
The Avenue J Interchange Improvements project is a vital infrastructure enhancement effort aimed at improving traffic circulation and mobility in the area. This phase of construction focuses on ramp widening, pavement improvements, and traffic signal upgrades to facilitate better traffic flow around Avenue J and the developing Lancaster Health District.
