| Kool & the Gang to “Celebrate” at the Palmdale Amphitheater |
PALMDALE, CA — It’s a “Celebration” as the City of Palmdale welcomes legendary R&B group Kool & the Gang for one unforgettable night of music and memories at the Palmdale Amphitheater’s summer concert series on Saturday, July 26.
From their iconic groove “Get Down On It” that gets the party started to their soulful ballad “Cherish,” Kool & the Gang has been the heartbeat of parties for more than 50 years. Now, the Grammy Award-winning band is bringing its dynamic and signature sound to Palmdale.
“We’re excited to welcome such an iconic band to our City,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “Kool & the Gang’s timeless music is the soundtrack to so many people’s lives, and this concert is a special opportunity for generations to come together to sing and dance the night away here in Palmdale.”
Launched in 1969, Kool & the Gang is the longest continually performing R&B group in history. They’ve earned countless awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and were recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Today, their legacy is etched into pop culture through movies, commercials and DJ sets worldwide as their music continues to bring the funk and fun.

Tickets for general admission start at just $12. Preferred seating, tables and lounge boxes are available to purchase. All concertgoers, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Come dressed in your favorite vibrant and retro vibes for the opportunity to receive complimentary swag, while supplies last.
Gates open at 6 p.m., so come early to enjoy special drink promotions until 7 p.m.
