Lancaster, CA - The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) and MOAH:CEDAR are pleased to present Legacy of Care: 70 Years of Medical Innovation, highlighting the history, progress, and community impact of the Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) since its opening 70 years ago. The exhibition will be open from August 2 through September 28, 2025, at MOAH:CEDAR. Join us for MOAH:CEDAR’s public opening reception on Saturday, August 2, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Legacy of Care: 70 Years of Medical Innovation is a collaborative effort between MOAH and the Antelope Valley Medical Center, chronicling the history of the medical center’s evolution from a modest community hospital into the cutting-edge medical facility it is today. With an emphasis on the staff and volunteers who have made invaluable contributions to the medical center throughout its history, Legacy of Care features testimonials from current, long-term staff members, as well as historic photographs that showcase the rich legacy of these individuals. In addition to these personal stories, the exhibition spotlights the strides that AVMC has taken in medical innovation, showcasing the advanced technologies implemented by the medical center since its opening.
