| Palmdale Celebrates Artists of All Ages at 11th Annual Generations Juried Art Exhibit |
PALMDALE, CA — The City of Palmdale invites residents and art enthusiasts to experience the creative talents of local artists, young and old, at the 11th annual Generations Juried Art Exhibit. The opening reception takes place Friday, Aug. 22, from 6-8 p.m. simultaneously at Legacy Commons and the Palmdale Playhouse.
The exhibit will showcase 145 pieces of art from 92 local artists who are competing in four age categories: 12 and younger, 13-17, 18-54 and 55 and older. Live music will play in the background, and delicious hors d’oeuvres will be served before the competition winners are announced at 7:30 p.m. at the Palmdale Playhouse.
“For more than a decade, this art tradition has served as a cornerstone of our community’s cultural identity by bringing together artists from all stages in life to share their unique perspectives and creative visions,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “There are so many amazing pieces on display that help to elevate Palmdale’s reputation as a destination for artistic excellence. We’re proud to support our residents’ talent at every stage of their artistic journey.”

The art will remain on display through Oct. 2 at both locations.
