Award-Winning Musical “The Prom” Opens at Palmdale Playhouse
PALMDALE, CA — The Palmdale Playhouse is excited to host the award-winning musical comedy, “The Prom” presented by Palmdale Repertory Theatre. Join us for two unforgettable weekends of laughter, heart and Broadway magic from Aug. 29-31 and Sept. 5-7.

This Tony Award-nominated production follows four Broadway stars who travel to a small Indiana town in support of a high school student determined to bring her girlfriend to prom. What follows is a whirlwind of comedy and many heartwarming moments.

With catchy tunes and a heartwarming message, The Prom is a lively celebration of empathy and strength found in unity. This feel-good musical mixes Broadway charm with humor as its stars guide a small town through a tough decision about their school prom, delivering an inspiring message of compassion and community spirit.
“The Palmdale Playhouse continues to deliver exceptional entertainment value to our City,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “Supporting local arts organizations strengthens our cultural foundation.”

The show takes the stage:

Friday, Aug. 29, 8 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 30, 8 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 31, 2 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 5, 8 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 6, 8 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 7, 2 p.m.

Tickets start at $22 for seniors, youth and members of the military. The performance is recommended for ages 13 and up.
